Sunshine Coast, Day Three

Today I'm off to the northern part of this coast

The ferry at Earls cove, still early, but is already very warm

There is never much of a wait at this end

Woo Hoo It's Canada Day!

Just leaving dock it's great feeling the rumblings of the engines

Another great way too travel

Riding these ferries you get to see just how amazing this coast is

Time for a walk about

It was getting so hot that I finally found a place to hide from the sun

After docking, no time for photos.

Need food

There is food on the ferries, but...

I found a great place that made a wonderful omelet, had great coffee plus,
I could keep an eye on my bike.
Looks like I'm not the only one interested in my bike!

Even though there was plenty of signs of bear this was the only one I saw

Gratuatis use of the color orange

Another shot

For someone who feels that all mans suffering would end,

if she were just allowed to paint the world orange

The Powell River marina

The town is built on a slope facing the water

This was the most boring view I could find

On the right is Harwood island, with Vancouver island in the distance

Time to start making my way home

Back at the ferry

The heat...Bla

Look there's my little Thumper sleeping in the hold

Traveling this way one feels quite free

Clear cuts with no sign of replanting

With the amount of rainfall we get here,
this type of logging is devastating to our coast

Oh look a cabin that is only accessible from the water

That would stop the relatives from just dropping by :)

Waiting for another ferry

I was suddenly surrounded by a group of sport bikers

They just were multiplying like rats

You can just make out my yellow dry bag in the swarm

The S.P.ers have left me (Yaa)

consuming burgers and frys, and expounding on how wounderful they are.

(Well maybe not all, but there were four, that kept shouting thier greatness to the world)

At last peace

This
is how we are prepering for the 2010 Olympics

Nothing to with sports

Just widening roads to alwollw easer accsess

For this

The modern Anasazi

Back off the boat, and closer to home

I think a little beach time is in order

Watching container ship in the Harbour

Time to go

Aha back home

Shower and bed
